The 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will be administered the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers Test (PARCC) the first two weeks in March.  (See schedule below).  I would hope that we have 100% attendance on these days.  I also encourage our parents to have the students…

  1. Get a good night's sleep.
  2. Eat a proper breakfast.
  3. Be at school by 8:20 a.m.
  4. Do their BEST!

The above procedure will assist with students having a successful assessment.

REGISTRATION

There will be ECC, Kindergarten, and New Student Registration on
Tuesday, April 14, 2015, from 8:45 - 3:00, at the Sherman Elementary School.

COMPLETED REGISTRATION FORMS (below), HEALTH INFORMATION,  AND PROOF OF RESIDENCE MUST BE BROUGHT WITH YOU WHEN YOU REGISTER.

There will be full-day Kindergarten classes available at each of the three grammar schools in Roselle Park for the 2014 – 2015 school year!  In an effort to avoid overcrowding, we will be limiting the number of students to 22 per class.  Please be advised that this may result in your child attending Kindergarten at another school before returning to your home school for the remainder of your child’s grammar school years.  Families will not be separated.  Siblings of students currently in school will attend the same school.

All children who will become 5 years of age on or before October 31, 2015, and who are to be enrolled in Kindergarten in September 2015, and all students eligible to enter First Grade in September 2015, who will become 6 years on or before October 31, 2015, should register at Sherman School, 375 East Grant Avenue, Roselle Park, NJ, on Tuesday, April 14th.
